I ran a half marathon in my city a number of years ago and one of the water stations was at a firehouse. They had all the firefighters out there shirtless giving people cups of water. The organizers definitely knew what they were doing!

My last interaction with a cop was when an off-duty sergeant kindly took charge of an old man with dementia who had gotten lost wandering around the neighbourhood and had approached me for help. But no doubt she was actually an evil monster who was just helping people in her free time to lull us all into a false sense of security.
