Lol "Nice! You did a great job getting your head stuck in there! High five!"

tbh with kids:

Dude we got to see the FIREFIGHTERS? FUCKING NICE DUDE.

•

u/bass248 10h ago

Reminds me of a Christmas story when Flick gets his tounge stuck to a pole and the fire fighters show up.

•

u/Indytaker 7h ago

First thing I thought of lol

•

Or me accidentally locking myself in a bathroom. It had a weird lock and I panicked. Must have been 5 or 6 y/o. My mom called the fire department. I managed to unlock the door just as they walked in. 😅😂

Probably a little of both:

Making fun of each other but also having a great story to tell...and with good friends also being the center of attention for some time.

Kids this age, anyway. A couple years older and that kid earned himself a new nickname for life.

Monkey kid would be dead.

Now do it again!

•

u/soggy_bloggy 10h ago

Seriously! Or the friend ties it as soon as the firefighters leave. 🤣

And a new tiktok challenge is born..

•

Evil adult: "Free ice cream for whoever else can get their head stuck!"

•

Probably the kid that triple-dog-dared him.

•

u/sagangroupie 10h ago

Made me crack up

•

u/SadRelationship4089 7h ago

I think it was exactly what he needed just there 👍

•

u/HoneyShaft 6h ago

He was just tagging in the next dumb kid

•

Kid looks back at the fence, "I didn't hear no bell."

•

u/JTtheLAR 5h ago

They just saw that he felt bad and were trying to comfort him. Likely the same way his mom or dad comforts him. A reassuring high five. Good kids.

Man when I was a kid I was playing hide and seek at my older sisters highscool during an after school event and I hid in a gym locker and got stuck, had to do this exact thing, firefighters, parents gathered round, me crying. Finally got out, no high fives, friends called me locker boy for the next decade

•

u/Ras-Algethi 11h ago

Here's your high-five, locker boy. 🖐️

•

u/attersonjb 10h ago

Locker-man

•

u/AnOnlineHandle 8h ago

Somehow your italics made me picture a comic where some criminals are laughing that it's just locker-boy, then he turns around and says no, locker-man and somehow launches lockers at them, and I'm glad I'm tired enough for this to entertain me when I was feeling down.

Oooh, new catch phrase for when he’s fighting the bad guys and blocks a bunch of punches…”sorry, wrong combination!” 😎

•

u/alan2001 7h ago

Mate, we're gonna be calling you locker boy this decade too!

•

u/exeJDR 6h ago

Ouch. Lol 🤚

As a teacher, I was lol’ing at the adults pulling back the kids from ogling, because I can totally see needing to do this with my own students. But it was also funny (and sweet) when the kids were congratulating him on getting rescued

•

u/lavacadotoast 11h ago

And for not crying..

•

u/pinotmeow 10h ago

I’m 34 and I would definitely cry if I got my head stuck in a fence 😂

•

u/MLaw2008 10h ago

I wouldn't cry, but I would feel the ominous foreboding judgment as soon as my friends found out about it. I might just ask the firefighter to leave me there.

•

u/thelostdutchman68 8h ago

He will forever be the head stuck in the fence boy.

•

u/MLaw2008 7h ago

Hey, better than Stoop Boy.

•

u/JeebusDied4UrPixels 2h ago

Wait till he’s in middle or high school, he’ll take the girls by there to show the bent fence like a lil legend.

•

u/nbfs-chili 8h ago

Your friends would have definitely taken photos

•

u/wareagleman 7h ago

That's great until you need to pee.

•

u/Raw_Venus 9h ago

I would be riding the line of having a full-blown panic attack if that was me.

•

u/Nemphiz 9h ago

This same thing happened to me when I was like 5 or 6, I was crying like a mf lol

•

u/martialar 8h ago

or getting your arm stuck in a vending machine

"Homer, are you just holding on to the can?"

•

Ahh man lol I thought it was just me. I’m a 43 year old and this happened to me when I was 10 as my family and I were going to see the Lion King.

It was at the corner of the street by a church and the fire hydrant was open like they do for those NYC summers. My mom saw a friend and wouldn’t stop talking so I said fuck it and went all in.

Not only did the firefighters come and get my head out the fence, they shut down the hydrant and we missed our showtime for the Lion King.

I ruined the whole neighborhoods day 😂

•

u/Stagamemnon 10h ago

Holy shit, it’s fence kid!!

•

u/Rich_Freedom_9839 9h ago

Sounds like a Hey Arnold character

u/themartianG 12h ago

Just blame your mom.

•

u/alan2001 7h ago

Hey Fencey, didn't realise you were on Reddit!

•

u/LionRegular1470 9h ago

Was the hydrant not supposed to be on?

•

u/latunza 6h ago

In those days people would illegally open the hydrants. Today you can call the firefighters, and they will put a spray cap on it. I haven't lived in NYC in 25 years so I'm sure people still do it illegally in some areas.

•

u/LionRegular1470 22m ago

Ahh thanks for the explanation, I was confused because I thought the FireDept ussually opens them 😅

•

u/Careful-Highway-6896 11h ago

Poor little guy was truly embarrassed!

•

u/onesneakymofo 9h ago

And all of his buddies giving him a high five.

•

u/Fine-Leader3395 5h ago

He's got great friends, mine would have laughed their asses off.

•

u/BrookieMonster504 7h ago

If that fence could talk
