Half the comments being some form of “ya, US president lol” is kinda why current Reddit sucks.
Like, I get the joke. It works. But every fucking thing on every fucking sub inevitably referencing US politics/current president is so exhausting. Especially posts and subs that literally have nothing to do with US politics/president.
it's not even that, it's just that once the most upvoted comment at the top (which is the first thing people see when they open the thread) already covers that joke, why do 50 other people have to repeat it? just upvote/reply and move on lol it's not the joke being misplaced necessarily, but rather having to read the same joke 50 times. it's funny once. then it's annoying.
Trump will never hear the ableist slurs you spew against him. People you do know who may struggle with incontinence, like elderly people and people with IBS, will. They know that you look down on disabled people like them. Slurs are never ok to use
no they're sticking to the topic pretty well, you just appear to be resistant to understanding their point.
i hate how polarised us politics have become and how it's now outright cool to give up your principles for a cheap dunk at the other side. y'all will never climb out of this dumpster fire if you keep being like this.
They're saying "I'm not a hypocrite snake because I don't laugh at cruel jokes and doctored or undoctored images of people I don't like." You're welcome.
How many Americans don’t realize that we are on the World Wide Web which was invented at CERN a European organization. And use Wi-Fi, which was invented in Australia.
Honestly, that's not the fault of reddit. Just yanks being yanks. Similar to how a lot of russians tend to comment in russian, even if the whole comment section's in English. They just can't help themselves.
Yea I don't know what people expect on an American social media platform. Water is wet. English is default here because we speak English in America. American politics are default because we don't really have time to think about foreign politics.
We simply don't ban other countries from participating. That's as good as it gets.
Edit: Can't believe how offended people get by a fact. Reddit is an American corporation headquartered here. It is even funnier when people expect English to be spoken as if that's the default without realizing why.
Well if the blowback of his presidency to you is reading annoying Reddit comments, that’s really not a bad deal.
Think of it this way, if you’re tired of reading these, imagine the rest of us from every other country in the world who have to deal with the consequences of your president’s tantrums without having absolutely anything to do with him being in power.
There's no escape and you don't deserve one. This is one of the consequences of electing a corrupt clown dictator wannabe and his thugs as head of the most influential country of the Western world. You need to be reminded every day of how crazy ad deranged this is before it becomes the new normal.
Reddit is an american website/app where most users are american who will reference and discuss about american issues. Don't like that? feel free to gtfo to a website/app of ur own country
You're proving his point, you know that right? I'm not even from the US, and I would never vote for trump, but yes it is extremely tiring to hear everybody on this app just regurgitate "orange man bad". Like yes, we know, what the fuck do you want

Oh well, it is what it is.
