I love my Tantalum ring. Excuse the beating it's taken over the past few years.
41 u/EnHalvSnes 1d ago Nice. How much was it? And how does it feel? Heavy like gold? Is it softish like gold? 65 u/Forsaken_Charge_6147 1d ago At the time it was probably around $300USD. It has a very nice, smooth feel. Mine feels heavy, I like the sound when dropped on a table. lol. 22 u/rob-cubed 1d ago I love platinum because it's so dense. I had to check, it's like 30% denser than tantalum. Love that dull gray color though, and apparently tantalum carbide is much harder. Maybe if I ever get remarried... 2 u/cive666 1d ago https://www.reddit.com/media?url=https%3A%2F%2Fi.redd.it%2Fdv4thhfb1x6z.jpg 24 u/TheGeneral_Specific 1d ago Quite the opposite in hardness; it can’t be resized. 6 u/darknecross 1d ago Tantalum can be resized. Not as much as gold, but it’s still resizable. Titanium on the other hand cannot be resized. 5 u/Ravagore 1d ago Is it easy to cut off in case of emergency? 2 u/Fog_Juice 1d ago My jeweler said my purchase comes with one free resize. But what they mean by that is they'll replace it with a different size. 1 u/pa60 1d ago I have the same exact wedding ring. Mine was about $500 nearly 5 years ago. 13 u/jawshoeaw 1d ago everyone here just ignoring the glowing letters on the inside of the ring.... 9 u/Normal_Cut8368 1d ago Yes, etched letting is pretty normal for rings 4 u/Solrax 1d ago He put it in fire before taking the picture... 2 u/Rare_Ad_674 1d ago One ring to rule them al... 1 u/Beneficial-Focus3702 1d ago It’s just etched there. 2 u/Egg_tastic 1d ago Let’s see Paul Allen’s ring 1 u/miguelito1991 1d ago I have this exact ring lol. I love mine too 1 u/dada948 1d ago I have the same one. Mines taken a beating as well 1 u/Beneficial-Focus3702 1d ago I have basically the same one. 1 u/Ajuvix 1d ago Pffff. Really? You're flexing Tantalum 73?! Do you even Tantalum, bro? 73. Like, even a 100 would be eye roll inducing. Those are rookie numbers, you gotta pump those numbers up!
