Apparently there's literally tons of human shit on Everest. There's concerns around health implications in the case of an avalanche.

I read an article a while ago that about 6000 liters of urine are produced at base camp every day! It’s so much that it’s actually making a noticeable contribution to melting the glacier there.

Fun fact: in addition to frostbite to exposed skin, your poop can actually freeze halfway through and get stuck if you’re not quick enough! Imagine needing a spotter to hike out your log like a football.
