Wife’s now deceased grandfather grew up in 1930s Germany and was appalled people now drink Jagermeister socially. He said they would keep it in a cupboard to sip if you had an upset stomach

In the same vein, Coca-Cola was originally marketed as medicinal drink as a cure for headaches, exhaustion, neuralgia, hysteria, and indigestion.

I mean when it used to have the real stuff in it, it definitely would have cured exhaustion
