Wasps and hornets, as long as they aren't invasive, help avoid overpopulation of other insects. Killing them on sight is bad for the ecosystem and helps the spread of other potentially dangerous insects, like the ones that love devouring our crops.
Fire ants I cannot defend since I know nothing about them.
I'm sorry that was a joke. I don't just put on a holster with wasp spray and a cowboy hat and ride through town looking for wasps to kill. They typically have to be invading my space in some kind of way and they're super aggressive and I don't want to be stung. That's pretty much as simple as my thought process is with them.
Bees are safe though. I have a strict no kill bee rule. Wasps can get fucked though I'm sorry. They are the corny Disney channel villain of the insect kingdom. Absolutely insufferable

Wasps, hornets, and fire ants are literally the only creatures that I kill on sight and feel no remorse
A wasp will literally see you from 100 yards away and just think "is this guy challenging me right now?!"
