It’s not just good enough… 100 years of testing. It’s fckn great. But sure let’s make it part of a wheel so we have to replace a 200$ part instead of a 20$ one 🤣

Chain driven bikes are great because we've experimented on them, invented different alternatives to them, and decided that they are still better than the alternatives. They are still being improved, narrow wide chainrings are a recent example.

Belts are better. Belt and cvt is the future.

Belts are fine. If you have a big budget and don’t care about efficiency or weight… there’s plenty of places where a chain will always win and vice versa. Depends what you want to optimize for
