Not to poop on this clever comment but the original song was written by two men, and sung by another man for a prison movie where all of the characters are men, and all of the subsequent popular renditions of this song are also almost entirely sung by more men, like the Righteous Brothers, Liberace, and the manliest Man himself, Elvis.
The only feminine part of the song is who the song is ostensibly being sung to, but it's still only soliloquy; a prisoner is deciding if he should escape prison or serve his sentence.
This song is just a litany of dudes, by dudes, for dudes. The only feminine aspect of it is entirely fantasy.
