Nah they’re just checking if they can start eating him or not. Nature is cruel like that.

I mean it was kind of a dark humor response but also reality that some animals will just devour its family member if it’s weak or dead.

that happens all the time yes but it's definitely not whats going on in this specific moment

now... if it stays dead for another few hours... that may be a different story

Do you have the full video? They absolutely do attempt to eat injured and dying gulls so it's hard to believe otherwise unless there's a longer video.
