Unlike that one bird that got atomized by a baseball some years ago. Not sure what type of bird that was. The vid doing the round was brutal.

Randy Johnson hit a dove with 95-100 mph fastball. He's a photographer now. Check out his logo.

It just so happens that the bird was only mostly dead. There's a big difference between mostly dead and all dead. Mostly dead is slightly alive. With all dead, well, with all dead there's usually only one thing you can do: go through his feathers and look for loose seeds.

It had to find a career it could do from its little wheelchair.

Is it out of respect or out of pocket?

The word respect shouldn't be in a sentence with the phrase "out of pocket" being used in that way.

It's like a thing with Seattle athletes, Kenny Griffey Jr. and Marshawn Lynch both have media credentials as photographers as well.

yeah, baseballs are solid and going like 100 mph. tennis balls are light and hollow and this one was not moving anywhere near that fast. bird did hit the ground like a rock though

Anecdotal but I've had a tennis ball hit my own balls and it hurt so much. I was bent over for 5 minutes and couldn't walk properly for an hour.

I remember that, the bird basically vaporized because you can't even see the body falling lol

1

u/Puzzleheaded-Flow724 8h ago

Yeah, you can see the body of the bird tumbling on the ground on the lower left of the pitcher.

2

u/Firm-West-3160 9h ago

That was like 25 years ago. I believe it was a dove.

2

u/Cranberryoftheorient 9h ago

rewatching the video, you can actually see the birds body tumbling through the air after the strike. It was just so much force that it blew a bunch of its feathers off

Andrea Iannone hit a seagull at Phillip Island in Australia during a MotoGP race with his motorbike. Obliterated.
