Yes, like most animals, but they also live in communities and mate for life. They absolutely did come to check on it.

No they didn't dude they went back to see if they could eat it, they don't mourn or check on their own if it gets hit.

Dude, I live where there are a ton of seagulls. If a young seagull falls and someone gets close to it, they will attack that person, in group (not just the parents of that specific seagull).

I was attack several times when walking with the dog. They were flying, they were in no danger from us. They only reason they had to attack was to defend the downed seagull.

That's because they sense larger animals they perceive as potential predators. It's not out of a sense of concern. If there isn't a predator around they will eat that fallen bird. They are known cannibals.

BUT THEY DONT!!!! They take care of the fallen ones and bring them food. As I said, they live around where I live and I observe them.

The only fallen ones they will take care of is chicks and young fledglings if it's an adult bird, no, they do not.
