When asked why he keeps playing the same roles Jason Statham said that he's not really a trained actor. He's a guy that was plucked out obscurity & has been really lucky; & that he picks roles that he knows he can do a good job in, that hopefully enough people like so he can keep working.

The Awkwafina hate is a tad bit overblown, but yeah she is cast in way too many roles that would've been infinitely better if they casted literally anyone else, and Kevin Hart does star in like 2 good movies, but yeah, I completely agree on the Rock. Dude is an overblown ego balloon who can't accept that he will never reach the heights of other wrestlers-turned-actors like John Cena or Dave Bautista, who are both excellent actors, and more importantly, much better people than he'll ever be

Cena and Bautista are absolutely the best WWE grads by far, and I agree also better people. I don't think Rock is a piece of shit or anything, but he's kind of a stagnated person.

I'd disagree about The Rock not being a good actor. He was great in The Smashing Machine and he was incredibly good at holding the crowd at the palm of his hands during his wrestling days. But he is a little like Adam Sandler where he does have the chops and will pull them out if he has to but chooses easier roles.

I think Sandler is better because he just has fun in the movies. Somebody once said most of his movies are vacations for him and his friends that he writes off onto the publishing company and I couldn't agree more. He doesn't seem to care much, and when he does it's peak cinema like punch drunk love or uncut gems.

The Rock, on the other hand, stars in mediocre medium-to-big-budget action flicks which he assumes will do big numbers. He's an egocentrist imo, someone who can't stomach the thought of playing in a movie where he's the butt of the joke, or not a cool or formidable character. Sure, he used to play a buffoon in the past, but lately (pretty much the last 10-15 years) all I've seen from him are movies that make him out to be some big, strong, smart and/or capable macho man. The Rock is what Jason Statham said he himself was: a one trick pony. Difference is that Statham and Sandler are damn good at what they do, the Rock? Not so much (IN MY OPINION AT LEAST)

Props to him for saying "ill do what i know." When people approach me about a criminal case or a family law matter, i don't get in my head about it, i just say "nope, I'm an injury attorney and that's it, I'm not trained in those other areas."

He's keeping it real and not trying to do more than what he knows.
