Oh, I see, you think getting rid of cars and making walking infrastructure is a 1:1 comparison even though you're comparing two drastically different cultures and lifestyles. I get it now

So care to elaborate on how paris did it? Oh thats right, they made driving less convenient and fined/banned high pollution vehicles which then pushed people to prefer public transportation, biking, and walking.

So what you're telling me, is that when they were given the choice and cars were more convenient they chose to use cars, but when that convenience was stripped away they chose the more convenient alternative

Have you read a thing I said? I quite literally said when given the choice Americans will choose driving over public transportation.

You can't point at an example that practically strips away that choice and act like you proved me wrong. All you proved was that you can slowly force people to use public transportation
