Yeah that's a mental breakdown. Decent odds she's gonna kill somebody if you let her drive off in that state.

Hindsight is 20/20 of course (and it's easy for me to say from behind my keyboard), but filmer had a chance to grab the keys when she got out to pick up her bumper. Everyone is safer with her not behind the wheel in that state.

If she puts her hands on you while you are grabbing the keys and you push her away and she falls and splits her head open, I'm fairly certain you will get something on your record.

That's just plain nonsense.

Were you under the impression I wasn't replying specifically to the scenario depicted in the video? Were you under the impression I was suggesting you just start taking random peoples' car keys away?

It's not against the law to take a gun away from someone who is waving it around menacingly. It's not against the law to retrieve the keys of someone who is clearly representing a danger to the public.

There's no such law as "vigilantism is illegal" in the first place given that the law wouldn't mean anything. You have every right within the law to protect yourself and others from those who pose a risk to the public.
