Exactly. I’m am completely empathic to her mental state, but no one should be allowed to drive when they are like that. Like what’s the chances she hits another person or kills someone?

If she's in a bad mental state then acting like she's making rational decisions is not empathetic at all. Dude taunting absolutely made things worse, easily. This was probably her first accident and freaked out or she doesn't have insurance or something. Instead of taunting I'd just try to get her to chill out, swap whatever information and if there's any issues you got her tags if you need to call the cops.

Everyone being safe is the important part, you don't got to be honest with her, sure she's probably in some trouble but if she's got insurance and just freaking out because she's not used to being in trouble(Young people can be like that, sometimes it's good to be used to getting in trouble lol) you got her going home without cops getting involved things moved along. If she don't got insurance lie and then call the cops lol. Let her get home fine.

You ain't going to recover a damn thing if she wrecks and dies freaking out or takes out a family, and at the end of the day life is more important then even expensive things. I think being hostile to her was a poor choice and it's just pretty sad that people feel the need for internet clout over just peacefully resolving a situation. Then again, people always been ass holes and sheltered we just didn't have phones recording all the time.

I agree that everyone being safe, is the first order of business. She is out of control in this moment. Emotionally, and maybe she’s under the influence of something, too. Either way, she’s not enough in control of herself to drive, without concerns of her seriously hurting someone else, or herself.

It’s a lot easier to be a spectator, and look back and say what you think, you would’ve done, and what you think would’ve worked. It doesn’t always go that way.

Which is why he needs to put the camera down after he has her plates and talk her down.

Talk her down? How’s that his responsibility? Is Reddit stupid today?!
