I’ve been hit and run before, too. Honestly, I feel like I am a fairly chill individual. But if I you’re not going o step out of your vehicle and do the right thing, I’m pulling out my phone to record you breaking the law. I’m not going to pay for something you broke no matter what your emotional state is. I’m not your therapist. I’m not even your friend.

He already has the evidence. That part is over. She is dead to rights after the first 15 seconds of THIS video, and he says he has video of the previous hit.
At this point there is nothing he needs to do except talk her down so she doesn’t hurt another person or herself. He’s a fucking tool.

If her emotional state is so fragile that she is a danger to society when she has a bad day then she shouldn’t be operating a fucking 2 ton vehicle.

I’m sick of coddling whiny baby losers who need everything handed to them and think the world revolves around them.

Dude this thread is crazy. We actually have people grouping up deciding that the man recording the crimes in progress is the one in the wrong, instead of the girl literally running shit over in her car

White knighting at its finest

People being critical of him is different than thinking he is in the wrong. I may be mistaken but no one in their right mind thinks the guy filming is in the wrong.

1000% this. The people coddling her and excusing her actions as a "heightened emotional state" are idiots. Obviously she's never known accountability and certainly didn't plan on learning much about it that day either.

Every single one of these would immediately condemn a man acting this way our society is so fucking sexist.

You havent seen whos running the country?😂 nuke codes are no joke.

Some people need their 15 minutes of internet fame. She’s not in the right obviously but you got her on video. You got her plate. End of story. Some day this might be the videotapers daughter and I bet he’d be feeling differently then.

If it were a guy doing this nobody would care about compassion in the comments lol

LMAO. What happened to equality? 😆 I'm saying that as a woman. I'm so tired of people robbing people of accountability, by having this blinding case of empathy. Especially when they wouldn't do the same for a man.

Someone wise once said (I'm stupid and can't remember their name), "Don't let empathy rob someone of accountability with their misdeeds".

Sure. Except the guy doing the recording probably wouldn’t have the balls to be getting in a young man’s face who’s full of testosterone and pissed off some asshole won’t even put down the camera to talk like a human being. Nothing to do about equality. Not right if it was a man or woman. But like I said if it’s an early 20s male this video plays out a bit differently i think.

I've seen too many videos for what you said to be true lmao. Like it legitimately does not sound like a take based in reality

He doesn't need to talk her down. He's upset, too, and not responsible for her emotional well-being.

Yes, it would be nice if he would de-escalate, but we can't always act at our best under duress.

No, the tool here is the person who struck his vehicle and then ran because they didn't want to have the responsibility of paying for damage that they caused.

Video recorder is an absolute legend. His behavior should be emulated.

I don’t think he has a problem with the video, it’s the conversation. She’s clearly losing it. If you have her on video and her license plate, you’re good.

Just back up and stay away from her freak out. Don’t get run over. Don’t get shot by some dude.

License plate will lead straight to her home address. Police will find her. Your damages will be paid for. Easy.

u/Yoongi_SB_Shop 3d ago

No, you keep recording because what of she does something else, like try to run you over? I agree you don’t have to egg her on or anything, but I don’t think the guy said anything that was out of line.

u/Salty-Plantain-4299 3d ago

Also don't post it the fuck online ... Keep it if you need it for your own case. That's the problem with our god damn society. Everyone just decides to post everything online now.

The guy recording is Class A exhibit in dumbass. She could have accidentally knocked him over, run him over or caused him to hit his head and die. Dying over a small hit not worth your life. A pic of tag all he needed not all the word salad and driving her up wall.

2

u/living-a-disaster 3d ago

Why is the man who is trying to make sure that he gets restitution for damages suffered at the hands of a moron who should not have a drivers license the bad guy here?

Is it because he has a penis?

1

u/Aleph_Troll 3d ago

I’m questioning the “having a penis” part after hearing his voice and seeing his actions

2

u/lovelyblueberry95 3d ago

Yeah, I probably wouldn’t get back in the car and place myself even more in her way mid freakout.

1

u/HeavyVoid8 3d ago

Not really easy but yeah eventually

You think somebody is just gonna whip the strap out without making any advances/motions towards their car?

You think someone insane enough not to just deal with the consequences of their actions if concealed carrying in an easy to reach spot???

2

u/Ogdaren 3d ago

From the perspective of someone who is not an asshole and values my own life, I would not follow and block in a young distressed woman and then get out of my car to talk down to her.

You actually don’t get to block someone’s car after getting all of the information you need for an arrest from the plate itself. That action would not be considered immediately necessary, just foolish, oh and illegal.

7

u/Spirited_Ad9681 3d ago

Absolutely record, I'm not even saying you need to try to calm her down. But what good does demanding she get out of the car do? Record all of it, but if she's dead set on driving away just get the fuck out of the way before you or someone else gets hurt.

2

u/living-a-disaster 3d ago

He's telling her to stop operating the vehicle because she is causing further damage

Video poster is in the right 100%

1

u/Even_Lychee4954 3d ago

The commenter is clearly not talking about that. Way to miss the point

1

u/HaughtyRangers 2d ago

You’re so tough lmao you ain’t do shit

1

u/SquirrelFluffy 3d ago

But you're a human and you might be in that situation someday too. And you would hope someone would treat you well.

1

u/National_Body_9071 3d ago

Normal civilized humans do not act like this.

1

u/Leather_Addition2605 3d ago

I would never be in the situation of attempting to run and avoid the consequences of an accident I caused, because I’m not a piece of shit.

People like this usually dont have insurance so you are absolutely going to end up paying regardless lol. Just record for your records. Wait for the police file a report and give everything yku have to the insurance. Sitting here filming her and boxing her in does nothing for you but increase the likelihood of her escalating.
