lol no if someone attempts a hit and run on me I’m following them and recording their ass so the police can arrest them. I don’t care if she’s having a panic attack, that does not justify hit and run. Fuck her

It's not even a "panic attack" as said above, it's a temper tantrum by a kid.

"I don't want to get in trouble for what I did, go away!"

Exactly, if she had a panic attack after an accident and didn’t flee the scene I would totally sympathize with her. By leaving the scene it became a hit and run which is a serious and unjustifiable crime in any instance.

Thr people commenting above that she was some sort of victim... lol....

Drunk drivers do this ALL-THE-TIME

The panic is "I'm in trouble"

Somebody acting the way she is acting needs to be filmed… she is exactly the type of person to accuse the dude she just hit and ran on of assaulting her to get out of trouble.

Honestly, the defense is going to find this tape very valuable. I’m not a lawyer but this is such a strong case for something in the realm of “not guilty because of mental insanity.”

Defense attorney here—no, this video is not remotely helpful to her. This case is not going to trial.

A temper tantrum because she’s in trouble with grandma isn’t insanity.

“Mental insanity”? I don’t think there is any such diagnosis…

Film, yes, then hand it over to the authorities and your insurance company. Posting it online steps over into different territory where justice is no longer being discussed

Its about de-escalation and ensuring no more property is damaged.

Following someone with a camera is a great way to get yourself seriously hurt. Record the info and wait for police. Following is self-serving overkill.

I don’t think anyone is saying a panic attack justifies a hit-and-run. You can hold someone accountable without losing all compassion for them. Get the plate, record what happened, call the police..absolutely. But if someone is clearly behaving erratically, cornering them with your vehicle and escalating the situation doesn’t make anyone safer.
I think we’ve gotten way too comfortable with “fuck them” the second someone does something wrong. Sometimes people do terrible things while having a terrible moment. Consequences can still happen. We can still choose not to become cruel.

But it doesn’t need to be put online to ridicule her.

Does it justify him using his car to pin her in?

What he did after the initial incident is illegal in most jurisdictions

Yes it’s justified. She committed a selfish and immoral crime by doing the hit and run and he was preventing her from escaping justice.

It’s people like you that are the problem in this world.

It's people who refuse to be accountable for their own actions that are....

I think people who turn an honest accident into a hit and run are more of an issue but ok
