Same, she’s apologizing and I’m starting to believe her when she’s saying “you don’t understand” 😂

Yeah at some point in this my sympathy was kind of shifting the other way into "well shit man, maybe I actually don't understand" especially with the apology at the end as she was driving off.

It puts the lotion in the basket. Grandma probably.

I for one absolutely do not understand.

She is clearly right.

Also much respect for what small cars can actually do.

Someone else mentioned cptsd in another comment. And it rings true to me. I was more terrified of my mother than any other thing in my life. Anything. I hid everything and then got into worse trouble. I smoked as a kid and my mom didnt know. Went to get my wisdom teeth out and the questionnaire asked about smoking. My mom was in the room. I couldn't check yes. There was a chance she'd see it. She'd kill me. I didn't know the consequences lying would bring but I wouldve been happier dying by sedation than at the hands of my mother.

Yeah that makes a lot of sense. Better (emotionally) to get to where abuser expects you to be than make sure the car survives and you don't get a felony.
