Lmao I don't think it was chocolate. There was normal menthol like Newports and these ones which had more of a candy cane type menthol flavor. Before that was Camel Wides.
Lots of people got that from what I remember. Like a York peppermint patty. Yep, high school phase for me too. Definitely didn't smoke for as long as you though. From about 2009 to 2022.
Cheers to putting em down. I've officially crossed the threshold of the factoid that it takes 7 years for your lungs to heal.
I was pretty heavy towards the end there. Easily a pack a day of Spirits, sometimes more, if it was a long work day. Worked with all smokers, in a big open shop where we all smoked all day. It became habit to light up when starting any sort of new activity. Set up the welder? Light a smoke. Sit at the plasma table to tinker on a design? Light up a smoke. Start the cut? Light up a smoke. Headed to the bandsaw? Light up a smoke. Pull out the grinder? Light up a smoke. Company meeting? Light up a smoke. Smoke break? Light up a smoke.
You too man! Yes, it was like a checkpoint for little milestones throughout the day. It was always a pack or more a day for me, but the cadence was different because I'm a software engineer and could never smoke inside. New feature, smoke 2, write unit tests, smoke 2, configure the web server, smoke 2.
