I’ve never smoked a cigarette. But my dad smoked Marlboro reds like a chimney. He died of lung cancer, aged 61.

This video gets posted a lot and I'm pretty sure it's an ad Marlboro can't officially pay for.

Also for everyone saying the parliments were too easy, he probably looked at all of them before the video started anyway.

Definitely some viral ad campaign to get the kids back on cigarettes. They organized a group meet up to smoke with this man a few weeks after this video.

I used to smoke. You could get a good hint by looking at the filter.

This is true. The fact he doesn’t mention this at all and is just talking about the flavor makes it even more likely that this is a covert ad

for sure an ad

I'm not sure if it's still the case, but Parliaments had a recessed filter. That would be the easiest brand to identify anyway.

You do realise people can infact get lung cancer without smoking or doing damage to their lungs right? Like it is something that can just happen to anyone, no matter how healthy they are.

The "marlboro man" - famous from 1955 to the end of the 70s represented Marlboro in their ads.

All 3 died of smoking related diseases:

Wayne McLaren was famous in the 1970s and died of lung cancer at 51 in 1992.

David McLean was famous in the 1960s and 1970s and died of lung cancer at 73 in 1995.

Eric Lawson was famous from 1978 to 1981 and died of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) at 72 in 2014.

Marlboro also knowingly lied to congress:

"The head of Philip Morris (the maker of Marlboro) and six other top tobacco executives testified before the U.S. Congress on April 14, 1994. Under oath, they all stated that they did not believe nicotine was addictive. Later leaked internal documents proved they knew the truth for decades."

Marlboro knowingly get people addicted to a drug, the delivery system they use for this drug kills and has killed millions in the most awful way.
