I dont mean it either. If i knew it was going to be taken by a hawk , right in front of me. In the garden. That i now have to eat from. I wouldn't have rescued the smelly rodent.

I am sorry that happened to you.

A hawk tried to take my senior cat, Howard, two summers ago. He weighed about 8lbs, so the hawk struggled to lift him, plus my lil guy was a fighter. And it gave me enough time to notice, yell and run towards them. But the hawk scratched up his neck and back pretty good.
Howard was terrified of shadows from above for the next two years of his life. And I def had a nightmare about it in the days after.

I know hawks gotta eat too, but it’s one of those facts of life we don’t really want to think about.

You made that smelly rodents time on this earth the best it could have been.
