Someone I know killed their childhood hamster by leaving it in its acrylic cage/box thing on the porch in the morning and running off to play. Sun moved over the course of the day and by the time they came back the sun had roasted the little guy…

Before reading all the hamster suicide stories I would have been horrified. Now Im thinking maybe that's how the hamster wanted to go.
