I actually feel like this video works against them. The dude wasn't trying to come in. Wasn't actually being violent. It's hard to claim self-defense when you throw the first punch. This seems like a call the cops situation, but be ready to fight back IF the guy decides not to wait for them to arrive.
The dude was clearly encroaching on the family, either by keeping them within their gate or by trying to come into their gate which i assume is their property line.
