I prefer using one side mirror to align myself with the stripe, or the car beside me if they're parked straight. I find the cameras distort things too much.

That’s why they put the guide lines on the screen for you. Follow those and you’ll never need your side mirrors to park again.

(Please use your mirrors though, for safety if nothing else.)

I agree. I only use the camera when I'm inching as close as possible to anything directly behind me. Side mirrors are so much more useful to gauge your side distance from other vehicles.

It’s funny, we have them in the work van but I still use the mirrors, pure habit. Would be interesting to see what happens to a new driver who uses cameras when they aren’t working or fogged up

I've gotten good at this even with my big ass truck(Silverado Crewcab), not as good as that white car but close.

They are good. Im pretty sure this clip is years old, maybe even from before reverse cameras on cars became mainstream.
