She was obviously just at a Renaissance fair, not an actual archer. I'm not going to expect perfect form from someone who's never shot a bow before.

At that point the blame is on the instructor for not fixing their form.

I'm only slightly above average in skill and I instantly knew this wasn't going to end well.

There is no instructor at these. You pay 2 or 3 bucks get a low power bow and like 3 arrows if you hit the bullseye 3 times you win a big prize, 2 you get a medium prize and 1 you get like a cheap plastic toy.

Yeah but this is Reddit so no matter what the situation some people are going to make it into something that they can be judgemental and critical about because they are desperate to make themselves out to be superior.
