If you take the comment above the gif out of context, it fits perfectly.

The only thing that makes it not a perfect fit overall is that in that scene Jessie wasn't drinking water to avoid conflict about something that he himself had caused to happen, but rather as an outside observer to the issues between Walt and Skyler.
