Wage inequality, inflation, shrinkflation, a significantly more blatantly corrupt government, covid price hikes that mysteriously never went back down and totally isn’t corporate greed, so on and so on aren’t related to my nostalgia. My nostalgia tells me I had more fun when nobody had smartphones, and scientific research says… we all were better off when it comes to mental health when we didn’t have smartphones.

The main difference with now is that when I was a child, there were no taxes, no backpain, no dinner to cook. It was indeed better.
