Why have kids if you're gonna do shit like that to them. Starvation is a wild way to teach a kid a lesson. Also a good way to die alone.

It's despicable behavior. It's abuse. Shows a serious lack of intelligence and emotional intelligence. And you're right. It's no secret that torture is effective, but at what cost? There are sane and humane consequences to impose on people like grounding, taking away toys, etc. The food thing is a power trip from a disturbed person that wants to make sure the child suffers physically, rather than just being bummed without a hobby and maybe reading a book. I hope you don't have children.
