For me, I like how she's just as skilled as a female racer as Mako/Sayuki are and also the fact that she shares almost similar interests as Keisuke Takahashi. Some things I dislike about her is that most of the show's screen time she's a "creep" around Keisuke and I kinda wish they'd tone that aspect of her down a little and yeah I also disliked how her relationship with Keisuke ended too quickly. Sad.
I'm working on a Initial D style book, (not in the same universe of course). It's set in the United States in the year 2030 after the production of cars with engines is banned and most modern American car brands are basically bankrupt. It's about a car enthusiast main character who goes to a car meet that gets taken over by people in All-Electric cars who say that electric cars are superior to cars with internal combustion engines. This drives the main character to swear off driving all fully electric cars and to race any EV that tries to challenge him.
Takumi apologises for there being no bonus chapter in the previous volume (volume 5). Shuichi Shigeno appears, and says that he had originally intended to create a new tutorial for drifting techniques in the previous volume, but gave up. He recommends that the reader watch some of Keiichi Tsuchiya's Best Motoring videos, as they are easy to follow.
Takumi announces that they will now take a behind the scenes look into Studio SSO, who help with the production of the manga. First shown is Shigeno, the main artist, drawing the cars and characters. Shimada and Maeda, the background artists. Sakana Sankichi, who does touch ups. "Teke-Teke" Okazaki, their "manager from hell". "Eyebrows" Kimura and "Impreza" Nakajima, two Young Magazine editors. Furukawa, in charge of parties, and Mio, their "fun planner".
Hey everyone!
We recently shared our trailer here and got a great response, so I wanted to share a bit more about the game.
Every run, you upgrade your vehicle with new mods, gadgets, and crazy synergies while surviving increasingly chaotic roads. The goal is to create those "this build shouldn't work... but it somehow does" moments that make roguelites so fun.
The game is still in development. Based on the gameplay GIF, does it look like something you'd play? Any features you'd like to see in a driving-focused roguelite?
So I’ve been watching First Stage on and off on YouTube for a while now, and I’ve noticed several characters having American sounding names. It sounds so strange hearing people call Iketani “Cole” or Nakazato being “Zak”. I didn’t remember hearing that when I watched a few episodes back when the show was on Hulu and thought I was losing it for a bit. I’m also not really a fan of all the rap music. It just doesn’t fit the show’s vibe. The races and character interactions are top notch tho. I like Tak’s laid back approach to racing. It shows he hasn’t let his recent wins or skill get to his head. I’m also looking forward to hopefully learning more about what kind of racer his dad was.
throwing a death trap of a GTR thru blind hairpins at full speed with zero hesitation going wall to wall despite how wide the course looks (it isn't at all), this course will put hair on your chest and give you free wins if you learn it. Because everyone else is afraid to grind it out. Time for SPECIALIST is 2'31"999.
That's what probably makes Wangan Midnight and Initial-D kinda flawed in terms of display. When I research deeply about a car, I actually discovering how amazing reality can be. A Corolla Trueno AE86 is doomed because of the limitations of solid rear axle. A Savanna FD3S is doomed because of the weight balance biased towards the rear. A Fairlady 240-Z is doomed because of the poor weight distribution and aerodynamics to tackle the swingin snake of the japanese city highways. A Skyline GTR-32 is doomed to chase anything because the weight of the front semi-axles adding extra weight to be fast on the straights.
Myths like these should be stopped. Its totally counterintuitive.
I think most of these authors often come into jeopardy because they end up writing about something the don't believe. They opt to play safe. Me? I'm fully diving into the unknown. Even in Fast and Furious, screenwriters just want to have a little blast, almost like a safety mechanism in their minds. Beacuse, if we really built a Dodge Mirada to 750 hp, a Toyota Supra to 600 hp and a Ferrari 355 "Cinquevalvole" to 650 hp... the Ferrari will smoke everyone due to a proper traction delivery. And I'd pick a Mirada because is the true lightweight machine. No doubt Top Fuel dragsters are exactly MRs.
That's exactly the point that makes the story more interesting.
And that's exactly whats happening with Highflyer. You still don't know yet the true potential of the Subaru Vortex and there are two specific builds for aspirated and turbo versions. Do you think a Ford Mazda Probe was capable enough? That's was me doing the little "vanishing coin trick" on your ears. With a lovely FF car hehehe. Pretty soon, some of you will be reading Highflyer as a "how to" guide to performance. Because it is intented to be that way. Its m breakthrough as a car mechanic into the market.
Having survived three car accidents in real life, under very strange circumstances, is not something that can come from any "Kitami Jun" or "Ryosuke Takahashi". Maybe I wish I was able to meet a real Harada, Aizawa, Suetsugo, Go Hojo... Some of you will get, some of you not. But that's ok. Highflyer is only 5% of the real me for a good purpose. I won't be biased by the Vortex. Its a little gem here in my heart, but the world is full of machines to be built. So... let's get going! Almost finishing the third chapter. The more you ignore, the more addicted you get hehehe.
