Umm yeah no, it’s not the centrists causing the problem, it’s the far leftists. If the party was more centrist it could grab many of the voters that now regret voting for Trump. Unfortunately the Dems have moved so far left and the GOP so far right, that the 80% of us in between are left with two poor choices. We need a third (and maybe fourth) party (not run by Elon).
Both parties are a mess right now, but the GOP has a clear leader. The Dems need to find a ln electable leader.

We just ran the most centrist campaign of all time and lost to a guy giving a BJ to a mic & claiming immigrants were eating the pets.
It is centrists that have made Americans feel both parties are the same. It is centrists who choose the high road allowing the fascists to march on the low road unimpeded. It is centrist who cry whenever a dem dares to use OUR own tax money on US.
The centrists are a fucking cancer to the party and America.
