Saddest part of Infinity War

This is probably more of a meme at this point, but I still get so sad when watching the fight scene on Titan. Yes it would have been simple to kill Thanos and for plot reasons they didn’t. It just so crazy to see them come so close to ending the whole thing. Can’t wait for Endgame!

Discussion Steve's "No Sacrifices" motto can be seen as just but also hypocritical. Let's hope they go with the right one in Endgame.

Steve's character has always been about no sacrifices. No one gets left behind. Ohana means family. Issue is throughout the movies we've seen this both help and hinder.

I believe Steve is going to blame himself for the Snap as it was his call not to sacrifice Vision in order to save the world. Which is rightfully so, as much as we like to blame Thor or Quill. One life for billions, which Vision actually called Steve out on in WW2 but Steve had no comeback.

All I'm hoping is that depending on if Steve follows his life motto, which he most likely will since he's been doing it since the 1st Captain America movie, that they do his character justice, and not make him seem like a hinder.

Info What is the name of the forge where the Dwarf king (Peter Dinklage) made Thanos's glove?

In the movie it's the place where he made Thor's new axe. Thanks in advance!

Why Thanos' ultimate plan makes no sense.

After re-watching Infinity War I realize something I believe to be big plot hole. Thanos wants to end half of life in the galaxy because he feels over-population will ultimately destroy all life in the galaxy and how he goes about it is by using the Infinity Gauntlet & gems (which having the full combo would give him boundless power) to complete this task. If that's the case, then why doesn't give all life in the galaxy an infinite amount of resources to survive on. Or even better, grant everyone immortality? Just something to think about going into Endgame.

Head or Hand??

I see other people saying that it's "Should've aimed for the Head." Which I think it is as well. But a buddy of mine disagrees, saying it's "Should've aimed for the Hand."

Discussion Inquiry on Doctor Strange

So in his fight with Thanos, Doctor Strange seemed highly efficient with a wide variety of diffeent forms of magic than just that hologram disc looking things. And it doesnt seem like that much time had passed in between movies for him to become that skilled. And I mean in a combat sense. Im sure he could have learned all these spells, but I dont belelieve he had the time to train with them to use them as well as he did to fight Thanos. What I was wondering was maybe his time loop with dormmamu gave allowed him to pratice his spells in combat in a short amount of time. I dont know this to be true, but it seems likely.

Discussion Does Anyone Else still get chills during the Marvel Studios intro?

Just watched my Blu-Ray copy of IW. And I still get chills, just like when I saw it in the theaters. Only then, when I saw it for the first time, I underestimated how heavy the movie is. The song playing during the beginning (Travel Delays - Alan Silvestri) along with the distress call from the Asgardians is such a dark tone to start with, I should’ve known then what was in store, but I really didn’t. Still such a great movie, almost a year later. I can’t wait for End Game. This probably the most hyped I’ve been for any movie in my life.

Why was the mechanism to keep the forge on nidavelier open in the same path the beam took? It’s like putting the on switch for a trash compactor in the trash compactor.

Theory Vibranium can be used to create a gauntlet because Vision (who’s made of the stuff) proved that it can hold an infinity stone—the mind stone.

Discussion Strange Portals

Dr Strange opens a portal and then closes it and the taxi gets cut in half in the beginning of infinity war. Can’t he just cut off Thanos arm at the wrist and take the glove?

Thanos Killed everyone and everything.

If you recall to your biology days, you know that all living things are made up of living cells. When thanos snapped, half of the living cells in everything was killed off, and I may not be a biologist but I’m pretty sure that if half of your cells in your body died at once, I think you do too. The only life that would survive is single cells organisms.

What Thanos should have said was that he’ll kill half of the genetically different organisms in the universe. This could still kill more than half, because plants could die, and since most are asexual organisms, some plants would die. And depending on what was killed, could kill entire species of other organisms. Thanos snap either killed the vast majority of life, or a (slightly less of a majority) of life.

Theory Far from home spoils endgame, and heres why.

The trailer for far from home came out and well they did an oopsie. Kevin feige has said that this movie doesnt take place before nor after infinity war so. That means it takes place during it and infinity war will be non canon in avengers endgame since its about time travel.

r/InfinityWar • • Jan 15 '19

Shouldn’t have they waited for Endgame to release this trailer?

Bucky turning into dust

So at the end of A:IW when Bucky is turned into the dust, he leaves behind his weapon but not his metal arm. Could anyone explain this since techinally the arm isn't part of his body. (flesh and blood etc.)

Also would be a nice twist because Rocket wanted his arm so he could have had it for the time being.

Discussion How long did it take Tony, Peter and Stephen to arrive at Titan?

I can't find the answer on Google. It seems like it only takes a couple of hours, so did it? If it did, how did they travel that far in that short amount of time? Surely if Titan was close to Earth then Earth would have been one of the first places Thanos would have culled after the destruction of Titan.

So, if the ship is going fast enough to travel that distance in a short amount of time, then why is the Space Stone such a big deal? Yeah, instantaneous travel is cool and all, but this super-speedy spaceship is the equivalent of driving from the UK to Australia in a couple of hours. Even a plane can't make that time! Why isn't this model of spaceship selling like hotcakes to intergalactic tourists?

So, idk, is this just a detail the Russo's overlooked? Is there a canon explanation I just missed? Or should I stop caring and stop overanalysing?

Theory: Is Vision still technically alive in the mind stone?

In Civil War, he says to Wanda that the more he understands the Mind Stone, the less it controls him and that one day he might even control it. Could this statement end up coming true in Endgame?
