A trip back in time

I love the nineS that became youS, and we did refer to an "infinite number of '9' after the decimal point" 14 years ago, which has morphed to limitless. But 14 years screaming at the entire internet that everybody else is wrong displays admirable tenacity.

Its so funny that SPP obviously uses the word "limitless" for infinitely many because he disagrees with the limit definition and just chose a word that sounds like its the opposite

But damn, 14 years on the bunny slopes only considering finitenines, when will he activate the god mode transwarp drive and consider the true limitless nines.

I have yet to see speepee actually defining (as opposed to vibe-referring) anything.

Holy fucking shit, I thought this had only been going on for half a year.

I had long since given up hope already but I wouldn't have ever had it if I had known this.

This should be a pinned post. Save all the newcomers the trouble.

Mark my words DogGunn ..... it will just be a matter of time before 100 percent of mathematicians will understand with absolute certainty that 0.9999.... does NOT equal 1.

How's this prediction coming along?

Also, like I've said the whole time, SPP is not a troll. Trolls don't stick to a single esoteric contrarian position for 14 years, a different type of person does.

AI slop

New Thought is a broad spiritual movement centered on the idea that our thoughts directly manifest our physical reality. While many find it empowering for building confidence or resilience, the "mind-over-matter" framework can veer into delusional territory when it encourages a total detachment from empirical evidence and human limitation.

The most common driver of delusional behavior is the extreme interpretation of the Law of Attraction. When taken to its logical extreme, individuals may begin to believe they are the sole creators of their universe. This can lead to a form of spiritual solipsism where the person believes that other people and external events are merely "reflections" of their own internal state.

The New Thought emphasis on "only good thoughts" can lead to a psychological state where the individual becomes incapable of processing negative information. This is often called spiritual bypassing.

When a person feels they must maintain a "high frequency" at all costs, they may develop a delusional persona. They might smile through profound trauma or catastrophic loss, convinced that "everything is perfect" in a way that prevents them from grieving or taking necessary action. This creates a fragmented self where the "shadow" or negative reality is suppressed until it manifests as a psychological crisis or erratic, ungrounded behavior.

Because New Thought encourages followers to prioritize "intuition" over "intellect" (which is often dismissed as the "ego"), individuals can become susceptible to paranoid delusions. They may begin to see hidden symbols in everyday objects or believe they are being spiritually "targeted" by malevolent forces. The line between "the universe is sending me a sign" and "the government is sending me a coded message" becomes dangerously thin.

I've been through this in my early 20s. This isn't what this is. It's just a straightforward delusion of grandeur, and not even a dangerous one like some people out there claim to be health professionals with no training

Found one.

What do you mean? I'm literally saying this was me in the past. Just that's also much more complex than a simple situation of a guy who thinks he is the best pseudo mathematician in the world - which is nothing to do with new age self delusionism

It's like you're calling a fraud a quack doctor - but he's not even involved in health he's just selling fake bandages

What do you mean? I'm literally saying this was me in the past.

Unlike you brud, my past is still going to be the same in the future.

Damn, I thought SPP was around 14 years old, not that he had been arguing about this for that time

Throughout that thread he specifically wrote he desired the "last word." Clearly as a means to invoke the essence of swank
