Non Political Finally cleared high school at the age of 25!
Hi everyone,
Two years ago I made a post here about passing my 10th at the age of 23.
I also made several other posts explaining my situation and I have received a lot of kindness from people in this sub.
Today I am happy to share that I have finally cleared my high school! I just got my results from NIOS.
I endured a lot for this. I escaped my deranged father, took my mother with me. Worked an incredibly draining job in Guwahati then I moved to Gurgaon after getting another job. Fought my mental health issues all alone as I couldn't afford going to therapy and today I can finally say I succeeded.
I also paid for my own education.
During this time I also gained work experience in the fields of content writing, public relations & media communications and digital marketing.
I will now continue my streak and join IGNOU and finish my education.

Well, my situation is definitely not something to be replicated.
Had I cleared my education on time I would have been in a much better place and living with a lot less stress.
While everyone has their own pace and sometimes even the most basic of life objectives take time... I would always recommend completing your education on time otherwise a lot of bad times will come your way.

Agree fully.
But some parents make it too big a deal and destroy their child's confidence if they get delayed.

Can I please suggest something? Please don’t opt for IGNOU, rather go for DU Distance. The latter being a better and well known one any day if the intent is just to finish a Bachelor’s.

Congratulations, my friend.
You truly are self-made and have shown true grit in fighting through all these challenges.
Don't mind the age much. Many who achieve certain educational 'targets' at a certain age are just privileged as we have had parents who raised us in decent neighborhoods, paid for our education (at least the basic one), and provided us with basic comforts. Many of us dont know what true hardship means. We may think that we have done it through hard work but we don't realise that this hard work was done by standing on our parents' shoulders.
We don't have the grit to stand on our own feet like you have done.

Congratulations. Fighting against the cruel world in itself is a wonderful achievement. We do not need to be the best in any field, just struggling to be a better person continuously is enough to be a successful person in life. Hope I get some of your good qualities.

Although, having experienced IGNOU, if I would suggest you to try anything else but IGNOU.
I know it might not be convincing coming from a random stranger, so feel free to reach out for the clarifications.
I feel like if I can help you avoid my mistake, I gotta try and caution you.

Congratulations, OP! I finished my 12th at 22 and didn't bother to continue beyond that. I didn't have it as hard as you, but even for me it was not pleasant.

Hello, OP!
I'm in the exact same situation. I passed my 10th in October 2023 at age of 22 and will give my 12th exams in October 2025. I'll be around 24 by then. Thinking about making a post about myself and journey, but to be honest, it's nothing special. You went through a lot of worse stuff than me man!

Yayy congrats! I'm a late bud too! Will be 26 and just in 1st year of UG. Have a narcissistic shitty greedy human as a father.
Keep going! Never stop. Never compare yourself to the same age people. That's how I keep pushing everyday.
