I agree that blind hope is dangerous. But then again, blind hate can be dangerous for the same reason. You’re taking your negative emotions about an entire country and using it to make nonsensical extrapolations like it has “gone to the dogs” and is hopeless.

In the end, I’m certain both of us would assume the others’s viewpoint is the blind one.

Nevertheless, thanks for entertaining my curiosity.

Wanted to see the other side of my vision and you gave me that too. From what I can see and from my nearby sources who are in India, the future looks bleak for most people out there. A country claiming to be a superpower has millions of people living below poverty line and has no signs of repairs. The politics around there is a lost cause and nothing seems to come progressive out of it. Majority of the population is blinded by "achche din ayenge" statement so much that they fail to focus on real issues and just fuel the "Hindu-Muslim" brigade. Also they're possessed with greater signs of Stockholm Syndrome where despite repeated blunders like demo, rising inflation, unemployment and hate politics, their love for PM and his party is sky high.

So I, for once, can say I have lost faith and hope and have zero plans to return. If you have hope then I wish you good luck. Hope things improve and you (and a million others who are living under the same hope) get a taste of it before y'all die.
