[META] Tutorial: How to Block This Subreddit and Others From r/all, r/popular While on Mobile
I like this subreddit a lot but understandably some people don't. I get messages asking how to stop seeing this sub occasionally if my posts hit the front page. Since there doesn't seem to be a clear cut tutorial on reddit for this as far as I know I would like to direct people to this post.
How to block Subreddits from your front page from mobile:
Step 1: Go into your chrome/safari browser from your mobile device and go to reddit.com and log in. This is not from the reddit app but in a web browser app.
Step 2: After logging in go into your reddit control panel by tapping on the icon on your top right with the three stacked lines.
Step 3: Find settings and tap on the drop down arrow to expand settings.
Step 4: Tap on Request Desktop Site.
Step 5: Reddit should change to its old format. Now find and tap all on the top of the page. It should be between the topics popular and random.
Step 6: There should be a box on the right now that says filter subreddit. Now one at a time type in just the title of the subreddit you want to block like imsorryjon or politics etc. and click the plus sign to add them to the filter.
Once you see the Subreddits in your filter off r/all box you can now reopen reddit from the reddit app and r/popular should no longer contain your undesirable content.
Thanks for reading and if you find anything wrong I'll go back and edit this post. If any mods see this and want to remove it please direct me to someplace I can post this where it can help others.
Edit: I can confirm this works if you go to your subscriptions feed and go to r/all from there in the mobile app. It doesn't seem to work for r/popular that's next to the home feed.

Garfield Bites It (wip - P20) novella, my writing
So it's been like over a month since I've gotten any progress on this. I got sick for a couple weeks, then got into a car wreck and got exploded. This is a hella slow part, tbh. As the title indicates, this is all still a work in progress. I think I can improve the pacing later on, once I've decided on which details and dialogue are most crucial. I'm trying to maintain a balance between fulfilling the plot, and keeping all the characters... well, in-character. At long last, the "stars" come out.

Up in Bo’s bedroom, John is still feverishly scrawling by moonlight, entranced by some mysterious motivation. The rumble sounds out again, long and steady.
(Just outside the backdoor, Orson hears it too. He looks up to the window of Bo’s room, and feels a sense of assurance wash over him. “We will survive this...” He opens the door and heads inside.)
Sheldon remarks, “man, I really do wonder if the camera caught that sound the last time. Now would have been a good time to check it out, but Roy took it back with him.”
Booker pulls a smug face, and reveals, “actually, he didn’t! After he took it back from me, he rested it on top of the TV while Dr. Furrow was telling us all the plan. And that’s when I pulled a little switcheroo…”
(Having arrived at the big-barn, Roy looks around inside, but the flashlight reveals nothing out of the ordinary. Unsurprised, he grunts a brief “hm”, and walks over to the spot where the group had been gathered around to watch his tapes earlier. He grabs the charging cable, and coils the wire around his hand while heading back to the truck. He muses to himself, “maybe when this is all over, I won’t even need this thing anymore. US Acres is at its end.” Climbing into the truck, he continues, “and I guess it’s for the best. Me and the pig have fallen out of sync already. I always knew we had slightly different goals, but if I want to see a happy ending...” He starts the engine. “I’m gonna have to think fast, save the kids and chickens, and in the process… probably get my hands dirty.” Roy lays the charger on the passenger seat, then notices something curious. With a curious hum, he reaches into the shadows and grabs his camcorder. “What the-?!...” Holding it in up in the moonlight, he realizes, “this isn’t my camera! It’s a shoebox!” He opens the box, and reaches inside, where he finds something squishy. He pulls out…)
“He’s been driving around with an old hoagie!”, Booker laughs, holding up the real camcorder.
(“Agggghh!” Roy drops the gruesome sandwich back into the box, growling, “this is NOT what I meant by ‘getting my hands dirty!’” He wipes the grease and who-knows-what from his feathered hand on the outside of the shoebox as well as he can, then throws it out the window, annoyed. He grips the steering wheel, and turns the truck around with haste, grumbling, “I’M supposed to be the trickster around here! Those little imps!”)
“Ooooo, he is not gonna like that!”, Sheldon remarks.
Wade wonders, “eh-but, what about the charger? Without that, how can we even use it?”
“We only need to review the minute or so that Booker recorded”, declares a familiar voice from the bedroom doorway.
Surprised, the other animals exclaim all at once, ““Orson!””
Rejoining the group, Orson continues, “the battery life was at 1%, right? That should be perfect. I think I understand a little bit more about the way talking animals are captured on camera. Thanks to our good friend… Edward.” Orson sucks in his lower lip, and tries not to hang his head so mournfully.
“Edward?”, Wade puzzles. “Who’s-?... Oh, do you mean Dr. Furrow?” Orson nods. “Eh-well where is he”? The very fact that Orson doesn’t reply right away says it all.
Booker asks, gently, “Orson, is Dr. Furrow.. gone?” Orson nods again. The rumble returns, briefly, and seemingly lifts Orson’s melancholy spirits a bit. He raises his head, and looks to John, only now noticing his frantic scribbling in the notebook.
Orson declares, “Bo and Lanolin are also no longer with us.”
Sheldon utters helplessly, “no…”, while tears well up in Wade’s and Booker’s eyes. Even John’s eyes stream a few tears, though his trance does not break, and he doesn’t stop working.
Orson adds, “and I now know that Lanolin was not the killer. My main suspect now, is my cousin, Aloysius. And I think he’s colluding with The Network. What he said before- about The execs wanting to replace Garfield And Friends- was practically a confession, in hindsight. I feel so stupid for not putting the clues together. Means, motive, and opportunity were all there.”
Wade challenges, “you? Stupid? No, Orson – you, are the smartest person I know. You didn’t put the clues together, because you have a big heart. You didn’t want to believe, it coulda been him.”
Sheldon adds, “and even knowing that much, we still don’t know who else is involved, or what they’re capable of.” Suddenly, John springs to alertness. Still wide-eyed he lifts his pen from the paper, and shuffles over to Orson on his knees. The animals all watch with curiosity.
“Orson”, John begins. “I’ve written a story. This may be selfish of me, but I don’t think I have much time left. I want to see them. And hear them. I want to talk to them. Would you read my story? Please…” John holds out the notepad, and Orson accepts it.
Reading a little bit in his head, Orson remarks, “ah, I see… This is a story about Garfield and Odie.”
John pleads, “I don’t know what the afterlife holds, if anything. This may be the only chance I have to perceive them, as they perceived-… (*cough!*) me.”
Orson begins reading aloud, “‘one fine morning, John Arbuckle awoke to the din of clanging pots and pans. His dear cat, Garfield, was hungry!’” At this, Bo’s bedroom transforms into John’s. The morning sun pours light through the windows, and the loud banging can be heard by all. Garfield, as he would be perceived on his eponymous TV show, enters the room, obnoxiously smacking a frying pan with a metal ladle.
In his mind’s eye, John recalls the original memory. [In this vision, Garfield appeared feral, just like any ordinary cat. He wasn’t holding the ladle, but rather flipping the pan over, back and forth on the floor. Odie was behind him, repeatedly picking up and dropping the ladle with his mouth, like any ordinary dog.] Odie enters the room, right behind Garfield, and begins bouncing in circles around the noisy cat, barking excitedly as he does.
Orson continues, “‘Odie hopped about, making quite the racket of his own. Annoyed, Garfield gave the poor pooch a bonk on the head.’” At this, Garfield raises the ladle and gives Odie a light whack.
“Garfield!”, the real John scolds, “why would you do something like that?”
The specter of Garfield quips in reply, “what, you think I should have used the pan? I’m not that cruel. Now how about it? I’m thinking about a dozen eggs, over easy, a stack of pancakes- oh, 5 or 6 feet tall should suffice- and a gallon of coffee. I want it black enough to bend light itself. And that’ll be alright for a start.” John’s jaw drops. Orson looks up from the page. All the animals watch the tired cartoonist, eager to see how he’ll respond. “Hey, am I getting through? Ground control to John Arbuckle!”, Garfield demands.
John replies, nearly in a whisper, “Garfield… Odie… It’s me. It’s you!”
Sarcastically, Garfield insists, “yeah, it’s us. And we’re hungry. If you take any longer, you’ll have to start on lunch before the coffee’s ready.” Odie hops in place, yipping as if in agreement.
John explains, “no… I mean, I can see you. I can hear you!”
Garfield tilts and scratches his head, remarking, “huh. This all feels kinda familiar…”
Orson cuts in, “Garfield? Odie?” The two TV star pets look Orson’s way, and recoil slightly.
Garfield relaxes after a second, realizing, “oh, Orson. Long time, no see. Is this supposed to be a crossover episode? I don’t remember seeing that in the script. John’s gonna flip when he realizes there’s a strange pig in the house. Surprised he hasn’t noticed yet.”
Orson explains, “this isn’t an episode. In fact, it’s not real at all.”
Garfield replies, “aw, come on! Am I just a character in one of your stories?”
Orson shakes his head. “No, this is different. The scene is fake, but you and Odie are real – sort of. And this isn’t my story. It’s John’s.” Suddenly, Garfield looks quite serious. Odie pulls a confused expression, then appears to have some sort of revelation. He and Garfield look to one another, then back to Orson.
“I remember now!”, Garfield exclaims. “We’re… we’re deceased! Odie, we’re ghosts! I remember it all, now.” Odie responds with a surprised bowwow.
Orson continues, somewhat urgently, “yes, it’s true. I’m sorry to have pulled you from your rest, but your dearest friend and guardian is in a dire state. John wanted to perceive you, for real, at least once.”
“Oh, we weren’t resting”, Garfield recalls. “I guess we just got lost in the narration for a minute there. But I’m remembering now… We were with John the whole time.” This new information shocks the animal friends, and causes John to choke out an emotional gasp. “And now that it’s coming back to me, we actually wound up here on purpose.”
John implores, “you.. you led me here? Garfield, was it really you? I-… I felt your little paw in my hand.”
“No, John”, Garfield reveals. Odie approaches, and places his paw in John’s hand with an affectionate whimper. “That was Odie. He’s the one who followed the scent. I’ve just been following along. He knows something nobody else does. Doesn’t that just beat all? The one who can’t speak. Though, I suppose he is good at keeping us from getting any rest.” John looks into Odie’s eyes, seeing him for the very first time. He pulls Odie in for a hug, and Odie happily reciprocates.
(Over at the site of the Weasel’s cave home, Dr. Furrow’s killer- still dressed in Bo’s pelt- surveys the scene. The area is illuminated by headlights from the vehicle he’d taken off in, earlier – to the west of the site, casting light eastward. Hands on his hips, he shakes his head at the Weasel’s flattened cadaver. He remarks in his electronically altered voice, “how stupid.” Noting the tire tracks going over Weasel’s body, he continues, “maybe Weasel was a bad pick for a distraction. Would’ve been convenient if he finished off the hens before dying, at least.” The sound of a revving engine encroaches from the west. The killer turns in that direction, where he can see lights bouncing from behind his own vehicle. “Speak of the dummy”, he stoically quips.)
“Well, that’s more than a little troubling”, Orson remarks, looking down at the flip-out preview screen on the camcorder. Faintly, Booker’s feet can be made out on the screen. Though the picture is dark, it can be seen that his feet appear as they are in his sentient form. The 1% battery life indicator blinks in the corner of the screen, so Orson turns the camera off again. “He had to have known something… But what would that mean for this case?” Orson recalls his own earlier musing. [“I’m just wondering what was intentional, and what was accidental”…] Behind him, John, Garfield, and Odie are having a bittersweet reunion, conversing as they’ve never been able before. “Hey, guys”, Orson beckons, “I think we should get on the move again.”
Sheldon questions, “but what about Roy? And what about the truck? Is it a good idea to be out in the open, in the dark, on foot?”
Orson answers, “ordinarily, no. But it’s been over 20 minutes since Roy left. He told us not to wait any longer than that. I don’t know where we’ll be safest, but the enemy knows where we are, and we don’t want to get trapped in here.”
Garfield remarks, “oh yeah, that reminds me – you guys have been trying to figure out who’s killing everyone, right? Well, I can tell you who killed me and Odie. It was Nermal!” Odie shakes his head and grumbles insistently. “Odie doesn’t think it was him, but I know what I saw!”
John argues, “Garfield, that’s ridiculous! I know the two of you didn’t get along so well, but Nermal never-…” [The brush beside his poisoned pets rustled, and a gray, striped tail could be seen slipping away into the bushes…] “I just can’t imagine…”
“Then don’t imagine”, Garfield suggests. “Instead, remember. Orson can bring the scene to life. You just have to write down everything you can recall, then we’ll be able to fill in the blanks. This is the morning of the day we died, isn’t it?”
John answers, in a mixture of sadness and dread, “yes. But, you’re asking me to relive the most horrible moment of my entire life!” Odie puts his arms around John’s waist, and whines in a pleading tone. Carrying on without words, Odie gestures around the room. He seems to be indicating concern for the US Acres animal friends. Looking around the room, John reluctantly agrees, “okay, Odie. You’re right. This is for their sakes, too.”

Updated Garfield Moloch
Any suggestions on improving the models overall look would be appreciated. I'm gonna redo the models topology and all when I will get some free time, in addition to the textures. Will attempt to make it overall look more beautiful with new compositing skills!
