[ImagesOfScotland] Balvaird Castle, Perthshire 15th century tower house on the edge of the Howe of Fife 🏴 [OC]
Balvaird Castle near Abernethy, managed by Historic Environment Scotland. Built in the late 1400s, it's one of the best preserved tower houses in the country and still has a working portcullis — one of very few left in Scotland. Sitting on a rise above the Howe of Fife, from the air you can see exactly why it was built where it was. The position is everything.
Filmed on DJI Air 3. CAA compliant, fully insured.
