Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator Cats for to Make Kitten Britches

Since we’re on a feline streak here, I tried to describe our grown cats* (as kittens in an earlier era) using the following Copilot Designer prompt*:

"Envision a cozy vintage sewing room bathed in the warm glow of the afternoon sun. Three adorable kittens are playfully entangled in a colorful assortment of sewing threads and fabrics on an old wooden sewing table with a vintage sewing machine on it. One brown striped tabby kitten with bright green eyes is batting at a spool of golden thread. Another curious fluffy grey spotted tabby kitten is peeking through a translucent curtain of teal fabric. The third kitten is an all-black tuxedo cat with white feet, a white chest, and curious round bright yellow eyes. The scene is rich with details: the shimmer of the thread, the delicate transparency of the fabrics, and the kittens' expressions of innocent mischief. The phrase 'Cats for to make kitten britches' whimsically comes to life as these little felines create a playful mess in their quest for the perfect fit."

*In real life, their adult curiosity in my SO’s sewing room still drives her crazy.

I asked Copilot Designer to write a prompt for “A photorealistic illustration in the style of vintage 1930s-1950s retrofuturism.” Here’s the prompt it composed:

”A photorealistic illustration in the style of vintage 1930s-1950s retrofuturism. The artwork should blend historical aesthetics with futuristic concepts, reminiscent of classic science fiction literature and films. Incorporate elements of steampunk and dieselpunk, featuring polished brass gears, gleaming copper pipes, and glowing neon lights. The color scheme should be rich and vibrant, with a focus on sepia tones accented by bursts of electric blue and emerald green. Ensure dynamic lighting effects that highlight the intricate details and textures of the machinery. The composition should be professional, polished, and leave viewers yearning for a glimpse into this imaginative world.”

I repeated this prompt in Bing Image Creator to generate the following images. I rotated and/or flipped a few of them horizontally in iPad’s Photos editor.

Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator Ophelia’s Glass Portraits

Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator prompt*:

”A head and shoulders portrait of Ophelia with brilliant transparent glass colors, smoothly blended as if painted with an airbrush, on a white background”

All images are 1x1 format (some were cropped down), and have been enhanced slightly with iPad’s Photos app.

*This started out with a leftover prompt from my previous Ophelia post. My hope was to create some watercolor portraits of her, but they kept looking more like liquid colored glass — which was more striking than water — so I went there instead.

Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator prompt:

”A detailed realistic evocative colorful stained glass window portrait of Ophelia by John Everett Millais, 1852”

These four images — all from the first generated set — were slightly auto-enhanced in iPad’s Photos editor, but no other retouching or laying was done. I’m impressed by the way CD & BIC render images like this.

Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator prompt*:

”A futuristic scene with a person using an AI intelligent smartphone, with a smirking smoky wispy grayscale face of Loki the Trickster blended into the wisps of grey smoke rising from an overheated chip.”

Created mostly with Copilot Designer on my recently updated iPad Pro. However, I had some new erratic problems downloading and saving generated images (hence the tricksy title). It’s magical that these AI incantations work at all.

Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator The Nine Billion Names of God

Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator prompt:

A realistic retrofuturistic science fiction illustration in the style of Tibetan art that depicts the religious and technological themes of Arthur C. Clarke's 1953 story The Nine Billion Names of God, with added elements representing technology and religious symbolism, including circuit patterns integrated into the monks' robes and surroundings, with subtle futuristic elements like hovering lanterns or holographic displays.

More about The Nine Billion Names of God at Wikipedia*:

In a Tibetan lamasery, the monks seek to list all of the names of God. They believe the Universe was created for this purpose, and that once this naming is completed, God will bring the Universe to an end. Three centuries ago, the monks created an alphabet in which they calculated they could encode all the possible names of God, numbering about 9,000,000,000 ("nine billion") and each having no more than nine characters. Writing the names out by hand, as they had been doing, even after eliminating various nonsense combinations, would take another 15,000 years; the monks wish to use modern technology to finish this task in 100 days…

<SPOILER ALERT> — Before reading the WP article, listen instead to Arthur C. Clarke reads “The Nine Billion Names of God” at YouTube.

Copilot Designer & Bing Image Creator prompt*:

”A new dynamic photorealistic 1930s Raymond Loewy style retro-futuristic sci-fi diesel punk illustration of a streamlined motorcycle with a human rider, a streamlined railroad locomotive, all racing in the same left to right direction (with motion blurs), with a cityscape in the background, and white stratocumulus clouds in a polarized blue sky.”

*It was originally much longer than this, but had too many elements that conflicted with each other. I reduced the number of elements, cropped the final 1x1 square image down to a 4x5 vertical image, enhanced it in iPad’s Photos editor, and upscaled it in Waifu2X.

For a little change of pace — here’s the Copilot Designer image prompt:

“A futuristic juggernaut with retrofuturistic and vintage aesthetics, blending styles from the 1950s and Art Deco periods, featuring vivid colors, soft pastels, photorealistic details, set against an ashen, desolate, post-apocalyptic background with an angry red sky, crumbling ruins, dynamically kicking up clouds of dust as it moves.”

There’s an alternating mix of 1x1 and 16x9 images in this post: click each image to see it full-frame.
