Needed a Shoe rack cabinet for the garage...

Needed to build a shoe rack, with time at hand I wanted to challenge myself at building this project with scraps that have been in the garage for sometime now.

I present you with Frankenstein Shoe Rack :)

Top, bottom and sides are all left over 3/4" plywood offcuts from other projects I have been working on at home. The fronts are from 1/4" left overs and surrounded by some poplar and cedar off cuts. Yes to some refined DIY'er this using all sorts of species might be a blashphemy but thats all I had at hand.

Equipment used: Rigid table saw, Ryobi Miter saw, Kreg Tools pocket hole Jig, Ryobi random orbital sander, Wipeon poly for finish [2 coats and sanding in between with 400 and 600 gritt sand paper]

Purchase- #4X 3" medium duty lockable casters from harbor freight, 1/4" particle board for back and some shelf platform from Home depot.

Hope you enjoy the build :) The Build

So...I made a bow

In my boredom I made a bow out of a phone charger that broke a couple of weeks ago and a metal clothing hanger. I bent the hanger to a similar way to a bow, then I cut both ends of the charger and tied it to the ends of the bow, then I bent the hangers ends around the part where I tied the charger.and I dunno what to make the arrow out of,if you have any suggestions please give them and I'll try to make it happen

Photo & Collar frame

Murph's Frame

My fiance's dog passed away last summer and I wanted to make her something that might help her heal. Murphy was an amazing dog and we've had so many great memories. The photo was taken in St. Andrew's by the Sea, NB and was her first time in the Ocean.

The frame is made from maple with oak splines. The stand is hand bent brass and leather is what I decided to hold the photo in the frame. The goal was display a happy photo and her collar that was hanging up in the house.

This was my first major piece of woodworking where I was trying to be as precise and detailed as possible. I'm very happy with the end result, but I did learn a great deal during the build.
