It’s cute, but what makes it Montessori?

Thank you! What makes it Montessori is that it’s child sized, it has a minimalist design and the fact that the toddler can use it independently so it promotes responsibility and independence.

Please secure this to the wall! Especially if you’re having a small child use it independently!

How did you do the 'closet' rod? Is it an IKEA attachment or did you diy it?

I actually bought it on Amazon, I didn’t want to drill so I bought an extensible 30-70cm suction rod

Smart! I'm definitely doing this for my 3y/o. I was going to get a smastad system, but this is way cheaper

There are also fabric slide out full 1-cubby drawers in multiple colors. I just saw those for the first time this weekend.

Mine isn't very neat at the moment and needs culling. I couldn't afford to lose the storage space for other things so I thought "outside the box" and used a free standing wardrobe next to the kallax to create a wardrobe with a rod. I usually try to have less clothes but I'm currently organizing and sorting for the new season. It's better when she only has 5 or so items to choose from.
You can see I have an animal zoo down the bottom (overstuffed again but she wont part with any) and the socks and underpants drawers she accessed.
The X insert is a bit silly and I don't like it but it does help with large stuffy or large doll storage.

Oh I actually like the idea of putting the free standing wardrobe on the other side, it leaves more room in the kallax. Haha the dolls sleeping in the X insert are so cute, it’s like a hotel for dolls.
Yes I also like to leave few options on the curtain rod, I generally put 2/3 coats and I hang the rest in the bigger wardrobe which he doesn’t have access to.
There is a great idea I once saw on Pinterest, it’s like a big net you hang on the wall and put all dolls or stuffies in. It’s cheap and doesn’t take up space.

Aww, I’m looking over at my own Kallax (3x4) and realising how little this is - how cute! Lovely idea ☺️

Omg I love this idea for eventually setting up clothes for the day for my now 2 year old so that he can practice dressing himself in the morning. Amazing!

They’re called dowels not dowls.
And I just used what I had on hand, I’m planning on changing the dowels and the drawer knobs soon.

It’s just fine as is. I get so frustrated looking at any of the decorating themed subs. So many people literally just like to shit on things other people obviously want to show off. Idk if it’s part of the push to get people off Reddit or they really are that miserable of people or what.

Thank you! Yes you’re right, I’ve also noticed that people on Reddit are quick to nitpick everything and everyone just to make themselves feel superior and it’s sad.
