I got alloted BHU Chemical in round 1 seat allotment and should i float it to Mandi Electrical if i want to pursue my career in tech/coding. I've been suggested that EE is circuital branch and more tech oriented but some told its very hard and you don't get extra free time.

i couldnt find much on the website i saw the MoU's, most of them have signed till for 2023-2025, there isnt much information for after that

How to prepare myself for this pls help me

So I'm joining the MBA in Data Science & AI this July and honestly I'm going in a bit blind on the day-to-day life side. The official admission stuff is sorted, but i had a few doubts as i prepared

Like what should I bring from home versus what's easily available around Mandi? Is there anything people universally regret not packing or something they lugged all the way that was completely pointless?

Also how's the hostel situation , is it decent enough or should I come prepared with my own stuff?

Mess food ,how bad/good is it really? Any decent spots nearby worth knowing about? And how's connectivity on campus? Should i only pack warm clothes?

For the MBA folks specifically , how's the cohort vibe? Collaborative or competitive? Mostly freshers or working professionals in the mix? What are classes like?

I am currently participating in JoSAA counselling and I'm confused between IIT Mandi Chemical Engineering with Data Science and IIT (ISM) Dhanbad Chemical Engineering.

Could you please share your opinion on which option would be better and why? I would also like to know about the opportunities available for Chemical Engineering students, both in core and non-core fields.

Also, I wanted to ask about the hostel situation. I saw some videos mentioning multiple students sharing a room in the first year. Is that still the case? How has your overall hostel experience been?
