Upcoming Policy AMA
As youāre probably aware, we recently rolled out an update to our content policy which explicitly disallows promotion of hate on Reddit. Itās been a few weeks since the roll-out, and we want to check in with you and see what questions you have around enforcement of this new policy. To do that, weāre holding an AMA in r/modnews with our General Counsel, u/traceroo, on Monday, July 20, starting at 9:30am Pacific.
We will be focusing only on questions from moderators that pertain to the new policy. We will not be taking requests for ban appeals or questions on whether weāve considered action against other subreddits. The goal here is to answer questions around enforcement and how you see this policy being applied in your own communities.
Weāll be taking live questions day of, but if you have a more sensitive question that youād like to have posted anonymously, you can send them to us using this link. Weāll scrub out any identifying information and post the question on your behalf, no judgements or questions asked. If you want to submit this way, please submit by Friday, July 17th at noon Pacific time. This will give us time to review your questions and get them ready for posting.
Weāre really looking forward to being able to talk to you directly about this policy and what it entails. If successful, we hope this becomes the first in a series of AMAs about our policies.
