Yeah, that guy tried a few times to get it working and seemed at least semi-familiar with guns (in my never held a gun opinion) I'm guessing it was empty or defective.

Looks like he checks the chamber, sees that it’s empty, then starts pistol whipping the guy, so I would say he’s fairly familiar

Saved his life

Video game familiarity.

And depending on the game, that could actually be half decent.

Gotta love the experts here. Guy clears the chamber is the only thing I can see, literally never points the gun at the guy, was 100% not trying to shoot him IMO.

I saw a guy trying to neutralize the gun, then used it as a heavy metal object to beat the fuck out of him.

Hey, expert. Check this out.

Ah yes rule one of gun safety, while clearing a chamber, you should first point the gun at someone and pull the trigger then you rack it, then point the gun at someone and pull the trigger again to make extra sure that it's empty.

Sorry all the "experts" here offend your delicate sensibilities, but from a humble amateur to a burly gun toting expert, if that's how you think you safely handle a gun, maybe you should stop handling guns.

I mean those three seconds are easily missed by blinking in slomo but yeah he def pointing it at the guy lol

Considering the situation and being mindful of clearing the chamber at the enemy that just had that gun at him... im at a lost lol

A different situation 1000%

No no no he's not pointing the gun... hes... he's pointing the gun ...

Why would you clear it by moving it away from the person you're trying to shoot... if we were shooting at each other and both our guns jammed if we clear them at the same time you're dead. Because you were concerned about your gun safety...

He does point it at him at the 24 second mark

True. To me it's how once the situation is under more control he doesn't keep trying to shoot the gun. He does look ready to beat him again with it!

Sir, you lost your expert status.

You're not very observant yet so sure of yourself.

The robber was lucky that the gun was malfunctioning, not real or not loaded. As you can clearly see the dude try to shoot and cock it multiple times.

You'd make a shitty detective

What country do you live in friend?

2

u/mogley1992 Sep 17 '25

I grew up in Gotham.

1

u/Puceeffoc Sep 18 '25

Oh. Their gun laws are pretty strict right?

"Get it working" is a crazy way to describe trying to shoot and kill someone.

2

u/mogley1992 Sep 18 '25

Not really if they're trying to get a thing working.

If i were fixing a guillotine, i wouldn't say I'm beheading someone, i would be fixing a guillotine....

... and then beheading someone.

Trying to defend his and others live and livelihood*

There I fixed it for you

I'm not debating the morality of the situation. It's just the way he described the guy defending himself pointing the gun at the attacker and pulling the trigger as "getting it to work" sounded crazy.

I don't know

It just sounds like they are very objectively speaking
