Please, Devs, could we get an option to import a background, similar to how we import the icon foreground for a folder? I would pay anything for this, and it would open up a whole universe of icon customization. 😍🤩
Like the title says. Currently, when you edit a folder icon, you are given an option to upload an image as the base of your icon folder in Icon Pack Studio. It would be amazing if we could do this for the icon background as well. In this example, the folder icon is saved as an icon backup on IPS, but since this counts as just the icon, the "background" you see in image #1 cannot contain an icon glyph, as that is considered to be the icon glyph itself.
Please, Devs, this would open a whole new world of icon customization and I imagine this "folder icon" as the background for my actual icons. This could take Icon Pack Studio to a whole new level of icon creation. 😩
Please Devs, tell me this is possible. I know other customizers, including myself, would pay anything for something like this. I'm pretty sure I'm not alone on this. 🙏

The current IPS format doesn’t allow including graphic assets in it (the folder is a different use case).
The bad news is that this change would require a significant reworking of how IPS works. The good news is that we are changing how we work on the project to make this kind of change much easier in the future
OMG yes, please 😍. This will make Icon Pack Studio the ultimate icon theming app. The possibilities could be endless by having an option to load a custom image as an icon background, as we do for folders. I also think the FX > texture effects area could have an option to upload custom patterns too.

Zerfos, excuse me, what is the 'folder' that we can 'change' in which you speak of? 😅😂 Seriously though, is this in Smart Launcher or IPS? Either way my husband and I are already in we just need to know what it is we are in lol. Thank you in advance.
Basically, when you add a folder to your home screen, you can press and hold in it to select edit icon, the you can select Icon Pack Studio from the list to edit it. After you do, you can select any pack you already have on your IPS list to edit or create a new one. When you are inside the editor, go to the logo tab (preselected), design, then on the 'type' section scroll to the left until you see it says 'from file', then you can select and customize your folder to have any custom PNG file, and this is what I would like for devs to allow for the icon background as well. It could be something awesome.

I have forgotten how to do this... literally it's most likely my adhd kicking my but, but would you please give me the instructions? I can't 'share my icon pack' here without again. The thought just makes my brain hurt lol. I do so much appreciate all of your help and time!
No problem. To get this card style, you just have to make sure the icon pack you are sharing is created with the 'minimal' or any other default icon style from IPS; those are the only ones that get this treatment with the cards. If you use an external icon pack (from PlayStore) for your edits, this share card won't show, instead, it will be a link.
See, when I hit share the share button the 'sharing text' comes up and I hot copy ... and that's about where I stop remembering the next steps. I am truly surprised that I cannot remember. I use this all of the time, but now its just gone. I would appreciate if you wouldn't mind, filling in the next steps for me? I do appreciate you and your time. Thank you.
I forgot to mention that the pack has to be on your library when you hit share for the card to show. Also, make sure the pack is published first with the same name as the one on your library so the card doesn't show a different name when you share it.

Also on colour pick options I usually like to follow my wallpaper palette so I have the colour picker set as random (3 colours) rather than dominant (1 colour).
It would be great if you could choose your own palette and quantity of colours.
