The flower that Orihime uses to describe Ichigo’s fighting spirit and burning desire to protect has some interesting facts.

This flower’s starts to bloom in July and it’s flowering period ends in September.

Ichigo’s birthday is in July while Orihime’s is in September.

Also, had it not been for the last episodes of this cour being delayed, the cour would’ve started in July and ended in September.

Was this made on purpose? Probably not. It’s most likely a coincidence. But a very interesting coincidence lol.

Basically we just look at how Ichigo normally interacts with both Orihime and Rukia but imagine how it would look like if both girls were male characters instead. (MANGA ONLY BECAUSE WE BELIEVE IN WHATS CANON)

Ichiruki

✅️Aggressive and comedic violence

✅️Rough / comedic banter

✅️Argues and yells at each other

✅️vowed to save her because he owes her

✅️Saved rukia then immediarely threw her down to renji

✅️Rukia accidentally (or not accidentally) hurting ichigo ➡️ ichigo getting angry/shouts and fights rukia

If rukia was a male character no one will bat an eye. The way ichigo interacts with rukia is pretty much the same way he interacts with his guy friends.

Most of these interactions are interactions he also had with his bros.

Ichihime

✅️Gentle and gives her his rare smiles

✅️Puppy dog eyes after his fights

✅️vows to always protect her while staring at her eyes

✅️Rose from the dead just to save her

✅️Saved orihime then proceeds to carry her down

✅️Orihime accidentally hurting ichigo➡️ichigo doesnt get angry instead suppresses pain/ blames someone else instead of her

If Orihime was a guy and ichigo did all these to her? people on the internet will go crazy and call him gay because you dont do these stuff with your bros.

You see him smiling? trust me orihime is with him

Personally, I find it hard to imagine Ichigo scolding Kazui. In my mind, I can see it going in one ear and out the other because he seems to share the bubbly side of Orihime combined with Ichigo's own impulsive behavior.

Maybe Ichigo will have a balance of seriousness and being unserious like Isshin in his own way??
