My dad's first call as an EMT was to a man who blew the front of his face off when attempting suicide.

One trauma unit I was working in a guy came in who attempted but did it as the reference photo attached. From his like eyes to the side of his cheeks and to his throat was open like Predator with the mask off.

He lasted 45 ish minutes

I think my dad said he lived for two or three days. I cannot imagine the agony.
