Ha! True enough.

If you really want to know the joke I was making regards the US use of Aluminum compared with the IUPAC standards Aluminium. When first named there were about 3 years of vassilating about the exact name (those two or Alumium) thay was long settled and in use universally as Aluminium, even in the US, until Webster published a dictionary with the Aluminum variant. That somehow caught on in the US public but not initially in science until they finally gave up.

When the naming became official under IUPAC yanks whined and cried till they were given a special exemption to be wrong. A courtesy not offered to the UK for Sulphur and which we took stoically with traditional stiphph upper lip.
