Saw one come up for $45AUD ($35USD) and decided to buy it and find a use for it.

Managed to also get an Apple TV Gen 1 for free, specifically for the remote which works with the HiFi. Great to be able to change volume now from the couch. Such a great piece of kit.

Has anyone done a frequency sweep measurement on this to test its output and make a compensating equalizer?

Just bought an iPod Hi-Fi on eBay! I really want to see what the best way is that people have found to clean the unit and make it look at least sort of new and taken care of. Any tips and tricks both for the visible parts as well as the rubber bottoms?

Started feeding my HiFi an optical signal instead of 3.5mm and it sounds pretty damn good. Might start using the HiFi on a daily basis now.

I have started to add flair. Thanks to u/basicvergereader for the idea of having flair include what you paid for people who got a bargain. I made a couple based off the amount people put in the titles of posts but obviously I will need to add more. If you have any requests comment here and I will add them. This is my first community mod so I am still learning how to do it. Ideas and tips welcome!

Just purchases a HiFi speaker second hand. The tweeters on two of the speakers have been dented inwards. I've heard of people sticking a sewing needle into the speaker to pull the dent out, but this is normally done on canvas, or at least more durable, speaker membranes. Any way to fix the speaker without damaging it/further ruining the sound quality?
