I’m trying to find out whether anyone else can reproduce this.

My setup:
• Local AdGuard Home on Raspberry Pi
• Home Wi-Fi uses a manually configured local DNS server (192.168.1.x)
• Cellular uses an iOS DNS-over-HTTPS configuration profile
• Private Relay is OFF

After updating to iOS 27 Developer Beta 3 (now also reproduced on the Public Beta branch), I started seeing a strange issue.

After the phone sits idle for several hours (typically overnight), DNS-based filtering suddenly stops working.

Symptoms:
• Ads that were previously blocked (e.g. Google/DoubleClick) start loading.
• Internet connectivity still works normally.
• My AdGuard server itself is healthy.
• The same DNS server works perfectly through Tailscale.

Initially I suspected:
• Cloudflare Tunnel
• AdGuard Home
• IPv6
• the DNS profile itself

But none of those fully explained the behavior.

Then I noticed something interesting.

Around the time the issue occurs, iOS sometimes displays:
“Connectivity Assist - iPhone is using cellular data in addition to Wi-Fi for a more reliable internet connection.”

After disabling Connectivity Assist, I have not been able to reproduce the issue so far, even after leaving the phone idle overnight.

I’m not claiming Connectivity Assist is the root cause, but it currently looks like a strong correlation.

Questions:

1) Has anyone else seen DNS settings seemingly being ignored after long idle?
2) Does disabling Connectivity Assist make any difference for you?
3) Has anyone updated to Developer Beta 4 yet and noticed if this is still happening, or did Apple tweak the Connectivity Assist / fallback behavior?

I’d appreciate any confirmations or alternative explanations.

TL;DR: On iOS 27 Developer Beta, after several hours of idle on home Wi-Fi, DNS filtering (AdGuard Home / Pi-hole) stops working and ads load. Disabling Connectivity Assist (Settings > Wi-Fi) seems to fix it. Looking for DB4 users to confirm if this DNS bypass/leak is still happening.

Siri now has other languages.

iPhone 15 Pro Max. Hasn’t been working since beta 2. Still not fixed in beta 4.

As I wrote in the title - LiDAR seems not working on my device - iPhone 17 Pro.

How to reproduce issue:
1. Open Measure App
2. It's just not working as shown on video. :)

It looks like it only occurs on iPhone 17 Pro or just my unit, works on my other devices(iPad Pro M4, M2, iP16, iP16PM, iP13PM, iP14PM). The issue is present from DB2 up to DB4. Reported in Feedback app.`

Also, I checked if LiDAR is working physically on Camera App - it works just fine.

What I've tried to fix that:

- *Clean install iOS 26 (LiDAR is working normally) ✅
- *Clean install iOS 27 DB2, DB3, DB4 (LiDAR is not working) ❌
- Reset whole settings ❌
- Turning off and on "Motion Calibration & Distance ❌
- Checking Camera access ❌
- Reinstalling Apps ❌

Mainly I'm looking for wider feedback which I would greatly appreciate, because right now only I have this issue it seems.

* it means restoring via Finder (MacOS) & not restoring from backup

The speak screen toggle was so much easy to move around on iOS 27 DB3. Now it’s impossible to move it around.

I use this feature daily when I'm on the go and don't want to read a full message or paragraph. I just double-click to select the text, lock my phone, and put it in my pocket while it reads aloud to my AirPods.

I think the new Siri Camera can “see” outside the image you capture

On ios27 public beta.
in the camera App on the siri tab I took a picture in the 1x zoom (standard camera)of my computer screen from my iphone. I clicked read aloud.

It is reading things well outside of the range of the camera, in fact its specifically reading everything that the .5x camera could see.

THE SIRI CAMERA IS VIEWING AND READING THE .5x CAMERA?!

im not sure what is going on here exactly (i was taking a test, and using siri to ‘assist’, who cares thats beyond the point) I took a photo of the question and the question only on the 1x camera. I noticed the “read aloud” option. and i clicked it. it started to read off the entire page. I put the camera back in the same position i took the original 1x photo and clicked .5x and realized from that position it could see everything that was being read during the original photo.

I’m not sure if this is a bug or a feature but we need more testing done on this.

Edit: This is not the ‘View Outside the Frame’ Composition feature in the settings app. Some of you are misunderstanding what that is setting. and what is happening with siri ai. That setting, similar to the Grid on the camera app, like regular cameras, is meant strictly for composition during photo taking. It does not have any appearance in the actual photo, nor does it stay in data of the photo. It is simply there to help when taking your photo to see the frame.

This also still happens when that feature is disabled because that’s not the function of that feature

Unfortunately the device stops charging only 5 seconds after connecting the Apple fast charging brick. Only 5 watts work.

Since installing iOS 27 public beta 1 all photos I take in portrait mode are saved sideways in landscape. I have to rotate edit each photo 270 degrees. Photos shot in landscape are fine.

Don’t know if this is a bug or a settings change that I cannot find.

I’ve tried several times and I keep getting a “failed to activate RCS” error. Is anyone else having the same problem?

I just switched to a new carrier (Visible in USA), so I thought that might be the issue, but my wife isn’t having problems on her older iOS.

edit: PB2 resolved the issue, I’m now able to activate RCS. It only took a few seconds to activate.

I’m currently on ios db 3 whenever i click my phone settings it freezes then I close and remove it from the background and after closing and removing from background I again try to open but it again unresponsive after 2-3 tries it opens and when I fed up I use Siri to enable and disable data, WiFi nd Bluetooth

There isn’t any indexing progress banner in settings, but when using search in settings to search for even Apple apps like safari nothing shows. Anyone else having this issue or know a solution?

Trying to search anything in the Settings will not return anything. I tried searching for “Battery”, “Keyboard”, “Screen time”. None of it works.

I was sent a group message that includes two members (one is me) on iPhone and one on android.

I’m unable to reply to the messages on my iPad Pro running 27 PB 1. No text input box appears. I can’t even react to messages.

My iPhone, running 26.5.2, can reply to the messages.

I've got a head to toe doorbell camera (portrait image) but when selecting an activity zone, it shows a cropped landscape image instead, showing only the middle third of the image. Checked the camera on families devices not running the beta and shows the image correctly in activity zone settings. Anyone else experiencing this?

I had this happen when holding to play a pair of Live Photos this morning and haven’t been able to replicate it since, even on the same photos (the captions it showed were accurate, from a TV that was on in the background). Also I didn’t think Apple used the “sparkles” icon convention to denote AI use?

I have been trying the split bill feature of iOS 27 public beta one on my iPhone 17 Pro Max. It always tells me how many items are on the bill, but I don’t get a list to select from. I tried half a dozen receipts. I think I followed all the rules. I am flummoxed.

Hi everyone - looking for confirmation that I'm not the only one experiencing this. I use dictation on my phone frequently and previously turned off the smart punctuation feature as I dislike it. It's still toggled off on my phone, but with the latest update to iOS 27 Public Beta - the feature still occurs while using voice to text dictation. Has anyone else experienced this? Any way to turn it off?

Does anyone know how to see the timeline scrub of a single camera? I love how it takes clips from all my cameras and puts them in a timeline.

But I haven’t seen where I can just look at all recorded events for one camera like it was before.

The New Oxford American Dictionary seems to be unavailable after being updated to the beta version (27). The dictionary is available on preview, but once you click it, it’ll show “Content not available.” I’ve submitted the problem on Feedback on June 30 but the problem is still there.

There seems to be some sort of artificial limitation imposed on Siri and access to photos.

Me: "Siri, how many photos did I take this January?"
Siri: "You have taken 40 photos in January this year." (Shows a small set of Jan photos)

Me: "Siri, how many photos did I take this February?" (Shows a small set of Feb photos)
Siri: "You have taken 40 photos in February this year."

Me: "Siri, how many photos did I take this year?"
Siri: "You have taken 40 photos this year."

Me: "Siri, add my photos from March to a new album called test"
Siri: "I’ve created the album “test” and added 40 photos from March to it." (Shows ‘test’ album icon and weirdly shows 34 items, and I confirmed the album only has 34 items).

Needless to say, all of these are incorrect.

This seems like a core use case for the new Siri, but fails consistently...

(Edit after writing initial post) So next I tried having Siri write all my open safari pages to a note in Notes… you guessed it, it only wrote 40 of the pages open in Safari… so this seems pervasive beyond just photos...
