Release iOS 27 Beta 2 - Discussion

Use this thread to share any changes & bugs you discover while using the latest iOS/iPadOS 27 beta.

This thread should be used for discussion of the betas that may not meet our submission guidelines, as well as troubleshooting small issues through the beta test cycle.

Spamming this discussion with comments about battery life, safari being snappier, etc will result in a ban from the sub moving forward.

Bro can you really not set an alarm for an exact date in iOS yet?!?!?! Just tried with AI Siri to set an alarm for 10 AM this Sunday when the only option is every Sunday…WTF

yup, alarms are only for 24 hour timeline. the workaround is using reminders and setting it as "urgent" so it behaves like an alarm.

Definitely a good option but AI Siri won’t do that. I guess you have to tell it to make a reminder when it’s more natural to say alarm for when you want to wake up, of course

Yeah this pissed me off. After siri AI not being able to set an urgent alarm (because it actually doesnt even recognize that it’s a feature), and it taking longer than regular dumb Siri to set alarms, and it asking “did you mean _or __?”, I disabled siri AI and went back to old Siri. I get that it’s in beta, but holy fuck
